The doors to the first properties available to rent as part of a multi-million pound redevelopment transforming homes in Leeds are being thrown open this week.
National developer, Placefirst, is inviting potential residents to look inside several new houses that have been upgraded and restored to provide dozens of of high quality homes for renters in the city.
Cross Heath Grove is a development of 73 one, two and three bedroom properties aimed at working and retired households looking for long term, efficient, contemporary rental properties.
The first homes will be open to the public during a launch event that begins at 10 am on Friday 29th September. Show properties will be available to view until 4 pm and then again between 10 am and 4 pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
David Milne-Smith, managing director of Placefirst, said:
“We aim to offer not just four walls to rent, but a home to live in for many years to come. By offering safe and secure tenancy for our residents, an exceptional landlord service, including an on-site maintenance team, we truly believe there is nothing similar in Leeds to what we are offering.
“These homes provide a genuine alternative to people who’ve been priced out of the housing market, or would prefer to rent long term.
With these properties we also wanted to make sure that older and retired households can access a really good quality, well managed home that they can rent for the long term.”
The Cross Heath Grove development offers apartments and houses that are perfectly suited to all – from families to those who are older.
Situated within easy reach of the city centre, motorway links, parks, restaurants, with all local amenities on the doorstep, residents have everything they could want or need close at hand.
The first phase of properties will be available to rent starting from £550 PCM which are competitive within the local area.
No expense is being spared, as Placefirst has committed to using the highest quality materials available such as Magnet kitchens and Dulux paints.
David said: “We want people living in these properties to treat them as their homes and not just a house they rent, so we’ve paid attention to detail, fitting durable, solid, quality fixtures and fittings that will look great and stay looking great for many years to come.
“We’ve a dedicated maintenance service, which means that busy families, or those who are retired, needn’t worry about ongoing repairs, such as keeping their boilers serviced. We maintain all open space and even make sure the gardens are kept tidy and fully maintained. We have installed new recycling facilities throughout the site too.”
The unusual option of styling your own home is being offered to residents, who can choose their own colour schemes, kitchen and flooring if they reserve a property prior to the works being completed.
Each property will be highly energy efficient and boast high-speed Virgin and BT connectivity.
Anyone interested in renting a new home can register on the day, online or by calling the resident services team on 0300 555 5564.
